Mo: Great question. We don’t hire anybody’s whose negative, that’s first and foremost, that just doesn’t work, all our staff are upbeat, they’re very outgoing, they’re bubbly so if someone comes in and has a negative attitude right, right away we notice and might not work, you know what might not be a good fit for us. What we do a lot is, I would love to share some pictures up; I haven’t done this much so tell me if this works and you can see, can you see my screen?
Mo: So there we are, we just took a picture the other day, there’s our technician and all our angels ready to rock the day and you can see everyone’s happy, everyone’s willing to go to work and the other week we had a staff, it was a pool party and invited them all to a nice, well pizza and it was just about staff appreciation. Mark: So, o.k. you got a great staff, you really concentrate on that stuff, who, who do you guys target, who are your target clients?
Mo: Great question Mark. So we use a rotary method, first what we do is, we pretreat the stains, then we pre-spray the right solution depending on whether it’s wool, what kind of fibre it is, we make sure we pre-spray the carpet and then after that we rake it in. But we don’t rake it in with the usual method, we rake it in with a revolutionary rotary system and it actually goes deep within the fibres. Once we’ve done that, we pretreat any other stains besides that and we use the rotary that actually goes deep within the soul of the carpet - it rips any sort of dirt and brings it back up. And we have another process, we use an edger which goes right to the edge, which most companies goes straight to the wall, they leave that inch, so we go right to the edge of the wall. And after we’re finished, we like to put a nice diamond shape in your carpet or we’ll rake it in to make it nice and smooth and look fresh.

This is James from Cleaning With Love, how you guys doing? So I just want to show you, I’ve got this Persian rug that we are working on today and their dog has smeared … all over the carpet. You can’t really see where the urine stains are, but when you fold it up, there definitely is a lot of urine there. So what we’re going to do to extract the urine out is use our rubber back machine. So this thing will spin around, it works like this and it will extract the urine out of the carpet. We use a few different chemicals on here as well just to make it easier to get out. So I’ll quickly just show you how easy it comes out, you can see through the clear tubing there - you can see the brown. Mark: So carpet cleaning for your respiratory system and health, why would carpet cleaning have anything to do with that?
Mo: A great question. A lot of people, I have been in industry for a while and one of the things is I’m very big into health. Not going into a long big story, I try to not sell but educate our clients how important it is, minimum get your carpets cleaned every 12 to 16 months especially if you have kids and pets that have a tendency to go out more and come back in. Why? Because the carpet is one of the unique fabrics that attracts a lot of dirt, a lot of dust mites, pollen, everything you could imagine lives in that carpet. Only people that have a microscope and look inside of it, you would know millions and millions of things you would never want to see living in those carpets so we do recommend every 12 to 16 months getting it professionally cleaned.
Mark: So one of the things I’ve heard it described as before was your carpets are like your the lungs in your house and if your lungs are all packed up you’re going to have problems so they need to be cleaned, is that fair, is that a good analogy?
Mo: Mark, you hit the nail right on the head, I think you missed your calling, you need to be a technician working for us, maybe you should do some of our advertising but you hit the nail right on the head, I couldn’t explain it better myself.
Mark: So you mentioned um like what would be the ideal amount that somebody should get their carpets cleaned?
Mo: Every 12 to 16 months.
Mark: And what about my sofas?
Mo: That’s a great question. So many times we go to a client’s home, they say well we have done, we’ve cleaned our carpets eight months ago, we’re very vigorous in doing vacuuming and that’s a really good thing to do, vacuuming your carpets three or four times a week minimum, that helps a lot and they never bothered to look in their sofas and the sofas are actually what you interact with the most, you touch it and so let’s say something comes in and it’s a deadly tentacle, now you’re rubbing it on your sofa, next thing you know, your skin is the easiest way to attract any sort of disease or chemicals into your body, now you’re touching it, rubbing it and you’re so close that you’re breathing it in and people don’t realize how important it is to get your sofas upholstery cleaning minimum every year, that’s on the very low side. You have a tendency, a lot of people over and use it more you should every six to eight months.
Mark: Yeah, your skin isn’t a barrier to a lot of chemicals and foreign agents, they just go through. So what about upholstery cleaning like what is that, what is, what’s different about the kind of upholstery cleaning that you guys do?
Mo: A great question. A lot of people say well listen, I grab the little bristle machine or I grab the machine from Home Depot, there’s a guy on Craigslist that can do the same thing. Well our people have been doing work for many years, we do all Montauk, we do a lot of Jordans, a lot of high end upholstery so we know what to do, what not to do, what solutions to use, and solutions not to use, extremely easy especially if you have high end fabric to ruin that sofa and what we use is the solutions tailor-made, some S types, there’s different codes some you can even use water, you only can use different methods so we do know what different methods to use but here’s what we do better than the rest, I shouldn’t say better, let me retract that, different than the rest is we have high importables and truck mounts that extreme heat and very powerful suction and in the same thing we know what temperature to put it on and how we need to move the vacuum, what rate so it doesn’t damage the carpet, I mean damage the upholstery. Too much water can really; upholstery’s worst friend is too much water so I always tell our technicians less water the better.
Mark: So what about, here’s a wild card for you. What about leather sofas? Do you clean those as well?
Mo: Absolutely, there’s a different method, we don’t use water but we do have leather cleaning kits that we do and we have high rates for them as well. We definitely recommend giving your leather upholstery cleaned as well, same thing, actually leather has more tendency to attract a lot of more soluables and lot of different things that you would never think of.
Mark: Yeah, it’s another skin so again it’s not going to be a barrier, it’s going to attract and hold lots of stuff that will go through us.
